Type of UPS
UPS is divided into 2 types, namely offline UPS, and online UPS. And each of these types has its own advantages and disadvantages, the following explanation:
a. Offline UPS is a type of UPS that works using switches between PLN electricity and UPS batteries, so that for power changes from PLN electricity to batteries in the event of a power outage, the UPS still has a transfer time to the battery power source.
b. Online UPS is a type of UPS with more sophisticated technology and a working system that is used that is using an inverter so that electricity supplied from PLN is converted by a rectifier component (AC to DC) into the battery and converted back by inverter (DC to AC) to the equipment. With a work system like this, there is no transition between PLN and battery.
